Stand Yer Ground

Welcome friends!

A few weeks back I wrote a little piece on racism (March 20, 2012), so I thought I might as well follow up with a few thoughts on a case that has been in all the papers recently involving a white guy (or maybe he was Hispanic but anyway that generally counts as “white” these days in the US) who shot and killed an unarmed black teenager in the US state of Florida.  In addition to the racism angle the story is interesting to me because it also touches on the issue of gun rights and what I see as some general characteristics of conservatism in the US... Sorry but only selected archived (previous year) posts are currently available full text on this website.  All posts including this one are available in my annual anthology ebook series available at the Amazon Kindle Bookstore for a nominal fee.  Hey, we all need to make a buck somehow, right?  If you find my timeless jewels of wisdom amusing or perhaps even amusingly irritating throw me a bone now and then.  Thank you my friends!
